About
Dynamics and Combinatorial Structures in Algorithmic Game Theory (DYCOSAGT) is a Horizon Europe MSCA Staff Exchanges project (grant agreement No 101297968) running from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2030, coordinated by Charles University.
Recent years have seen rapid growth in the use of algorithmic game theory across a wide range of disciplines: fairness optimization, autonomous multi-agent systems, dynamics of potential games, market mechanisms, and machine learning approaches to equilibrium computation. These applications are increasingly connected with advanced methods from mathematics, optimization, computer science and numerical simulation.
International staff mobility between the partners is the central pillar of the project. It involves established researchers in mathematics, computer science and economics, with a strong emphasis on training the next generation of scientists through collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Work packages
- WP1 — Dynamics of potential games and equilibrium computation: convergence of game dynamics, and machine learning approaches to computing equilibria.
- WP2 — Fairness optimization and market mechanisms: allocation and market rules that stay defensible under strategic behaviour.
- WP3 — Autonomous multi-agent systems: combinatorial structures and numerical simulation for systems of independent agents.
Lineage
DYCOSAGT builds on two previous European initiatives coordinated by Charles University: the Horizon 2020 MSCA RISE project CoSP (Combinatorial Structures and Processes) and the Horizon Europe WIDERA ERA Chair project AGATE (Algorithmic Game Theory in Socio-economics).
