Secondments
A secondment is a funded research stay at another institution in the consortium. Staff mobility is the central pillar of DYCOSAGT: you take a research question with you, and you bring expertise back.
Key facts
| Length | 1 – 12 months |
| Funding | Unit cost per month, paid by your home institution |
| Eligible staff | Researchers, technicians or administrators actively linked to Research and Innovation activities |
| Project runs | September 2026 – August 2030 |
How it works
- Agree a plan. Find a host in the consortium and a sponsor there, and match your work to a task in a work package.
- Apply online. One form. You create your account inside it.
- Travel. Execute the secondment and upload your documents during the stay.
- Report. Submit a post-trip report after returning.
Eligibility
Before applying for a secondment, please check that you meet the following conditions:
- You must be employed by or affiliated with one of the beneficiaries or partner organisations of the project at least one month full-time equivalent.
- The secondment must take place at a different institution in a different country than the one where you normally work.
- Your contribution has to be aligned with a specific task in one of the three work packages.
- Secondments longer than three months require a detailed plan, which shall be described in the secondment application.
If you are unsure about your eligibility, please contact the coordination office before submitting the application.
Acknowledging the project
All communication and dissemination activities related to your secondment must acknowledge the financial support of the European Commission by including the following statement:
Funded by the European Union under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Staff Exchanges grant agreement No 101297968 (DyCoSAGT). Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or the European Research Executive Agency.
If possible, the emblem of the European Union (EU flag) should be displayed. It can be downloaded here.
Open access
All peer-reviewed scientific publications resulting from this project must be made available in immediate open access (zero embargo) via the green route, according to the European Commission’s requirements for Horizon Europe projects.
Depositing the accepted manuscript in a trusted repository (for example an institutional repository, arXiv, or Zenodo) at the time of publication satisfies this requirement. The deposited publication version of the publication must have a CC BY or equivalent (for long-text publications the license can exclude commercial uses and/or derivative works).
